? Oktoberfest in the Gardens ?
Oktoberfest in the Gardens is Australia’s largest and most authentic Oktoberfest experience! Now in it’s seventh year, it’s returning to Perth, October 7th at Langley Park!
That’s right. Grab your lederhosen and/or dirndl, get a group of mates together and most importantly get your tickets – because this year is going to be awesomely and stupendously WUNDERBAR!
Oktoberfest in the Gardens covers all bases. There will be German Bier Halls, German food stalls, entertaining performances (including roving entertainers like accordionists, circus performers and magicians), fun rides and lots of on-stage competitions and games, plus a silent disco!
Plus, to top it off, every ticket to Oktoberfest in the Gardens 2017 includes a commemorative event stein (550ml) and can of German beer on entry! Now that’s something to yodel about. Those steins come in handy around the house!

Hallo! Me dressed in one of my dirndls for a previous Oktoberfest event.
?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
Every year, I love to celebrate Oktoberfest in Perth! Thanks to my German father, I proudly hold dual citizenship of Australia and Germany – and so I enthusiastically jump at any chance of celebrating my heritage and all things GERMAN!
I love wearing a traditional dirndl dress and dressing up into full deutsches mädchen costume, having been to a majority of Oktoberfest events in Perth annually. I can say, without a doubt, the biggest and craziest event is Oktoberfest in the Gardens. Every year the event organisers put on quite the show, brimmed with glorious amounts of food, entertainers and spoiling everyone for choice with an extensive range of beers on tap.
Will I see you there this year? Look out for me – I’ll be wearing the same blue dirndl as pictured above. Don’t be a stranger, if you do see me, come up and say hi and we can cheers “Prost!” together! Would be nice to meet some of my ‘PerthGirl’ readers. 🙂

? ENTERTAINMENT at Oktoberfest in the Gardens ?
Branded “bigger and better” in 2017, Langley Park will play host to the two largest big top beer halls seen at any Oktoberfest event across the country, seating over 6,000 Oktoberfest goers and providing a great spot to watch roving entertainment, eat, drink, converse and chill.
To replicate the traditional München festival, there will be a long list of German entertainers including a 20 piece brass band, yodellers, roving accordion players, pretzel fräuleins and a number of other German bands on and off stage.
The main outdoor stage will feature top local bands throughout the day and will showcase top DJs at night. The silent disco will have a massive three-channel, 500 person availability, and will feature nearly 30 local DJs across a variety of genres. A must-visit!
And there will also be a live & local stage for up-and-coming local bands – so come down and support local talent!
Throughout the day event MCs will host a number of Oktoberfest themed on-stage games and competitions. Win prizes for Miss (and Mr) Oktoberfest, stein holdings and bratwurst eating competitions. I think I may enter the stein holding competition this year because I have been weight training at the gym – I’m feeling extra confident in my abilities 😉
For the young at heart or those on Tinder dates, check out the Sideshow Alley for target practice, bumper cars and crazy wilds!
