To those who have followed my ‘Perth Girl’ adventures, I have exciting news to share with you all. This news will explain my lack of activity on the Perth Girl blog & FB Page, as well as lack of response to messages, for which I am very sorry.
I have embarked on a new, bigger adventure with my boyfriend, Adam! We are going on a road trip around Australia, departing from Perth, Western Australia on March 16th, 2018. (Perth Girl… becomes “Australia Girl” – haha!)
That’s right. We have quit our full-time jobs (Mechanical Engineer & Digital Marketer respectively) to explore the driest inhabited continent on Earth with our kitted out Land Rover Discovery 3 and Darche Roof Top Tent.
From Western Australia to South Australia, Northern Territory to Queensland, New South Wales through to Victoria and Tasmania with everything in between – curiosities will be explored, unexpected twists and turns embraced, opportunities seized, strangers befriended (or ran away from) and epic memories made!
Why we are doing this? First – why not! And secondly, life is too short to feel unfulfilled. We have both been spoiled for choice with everything we ever needed, yet, something was still missing and it’s no quick-fix. The answer isn’t advertised on TV or Instagram, and you can’t buy it at the shops either.
They say if you travel far enough, you end up meeting yourself. That new discoveries eventually lead to one big self-discovery. So what better way to discover Australia (and ourselves) than with the Landrover Discovery 3!
Through the blood, sweat and tears… we aim to come out of it alive and wiser, still together; and with a car that has lasted us the whole way.
